Why do people believe the best beer is sold in green bottles rather than plain brown?

- Richard McAnn

The colour of the bottle is totally unrelated to the quality off the brew. There was a shortage of brown glass in Europe following World War II, and brewers shipped their product in green bottles. In time, the green bottle became a status symbol associated with import brews.
