Discover the world of beer with Beerologist Allen Winn Sneath. You can even ask your own questions online.

How many carbohydrates are contained in a bottle of beer?

- Carli Classen

I am happy to report that that your average mainstream beer contains 13 grams of carbohydrates, zero fat or cholesterol, 25 mg sodium, plus the benefit of protein, calcium, potassium, phosphorus, as well as vitamins B, B2 and B6. Think of beer as the original health food - in moderation, of course.
