How to Rim a Glass

Rimmers for drinks are a pretty popular means of dressing up a drink however; most people do not have a proper rim kit at their home. So, in this article I thought I would go through the best way to rim a glass.

1. Take 2 plates roughly the same size (8 inch) that have some depth to them.

2. Pour your rim mix onto one of the plates and smooth out the mix so it leaves about an inch around the perimeter of the plate showing.

3. Take your other plate and press the bottom of the plate on the mix to make it level and flat.

4. Take 4 limes and roll them under the palm of your hand with some pressure.

5. Cut the limes into quarters and squeeze the juice out of them onto the plate.

6. Take your glass and run one of the limes around the rim of the glass so that 1/4 of an inch of the rim has some lime juice on it.

7. Next, turn the glass upside down and move it in a circular motion in the lime juice on the plate.

8. Then take your glass and move it in a lazy and small figure eight motion in the mix.

9. Give the glass a final once over to make sure the rim is level all the way around.

And you are done! I guarantee this is the best way to rim a glass evenly and effectively. Plus, you will look like a pro while doing it! Have a great weekend!
