Why is copper used for the tanks in a brewery?

- Ursala

Copper has greater heat-transfer properties than stainless steel. The metal's anti-bacterial and corrosion properties also help make it ideal for brewing vessels. From a purely cosmetic point of view, the shiny copper kettles have become a symbolic presentation for breweries and visitors.
