While it may be a little bit early to have visions of sugar plums dancing in your head, it’s never too early to start thinking about the holiday season. The upcoming Seasons Holiday Entertaining and Décor Show wants to help make the season bright for you, your family, your friends and even your community.

This unique show taking place from Friday, November 18, 2005 through Sunday, November 20, 2005, at the International Centre in Mississauga, will feature inspired ideas and products for every aspect of the Christmas holiday. Preparing for and celebrating this special time of year will be a snap once you see all the ingredients under one roof. Exterior and interior décor, ornaments and tree-trimming paraphernalia, gourmet food and beverages, housewares, tableware, linens and hundreds of unique gifts will all be on display and for sale. From formal to funky, traditional to modern, religious to secular, there will be something for everyone.

Helping you put it all together will be a fantastic roster of celebrity guest experts from both the culinary and design worlds. Featured guests will include Lucy Waverman and James Chatto, co-authors of the best-seller A Matter of Taste: Inspired Seasonal Menus with Wine and Spirits to Match; Anna Olson, host of the Food Network’s hit show “sugar”; John Reeves, President of Reeves Florist and Nursery and a regular on CITY-TV’s “CityLine”; and Karl Lohnes, Style Editor for “Style at Home” magazine and regular guest on HGTV, just to name a few. Each will bring their unique approach and personal expertise to the art of celebrating the Holidays.

Along with the celebrity guests, show visitors will have the opportunity to explore and purchase the wares and services of some of Southern Ontario’s most distinctive retailers that specialize in seasonal items. Check-out uniquely crafted holiday products from the Snowman Factory in Keinburg, gorgeous one-of-a-kind cakes and pastries by Shirley Nguyen of Shirley’s Sweet Creations, and the very latest in seasonal décor from the well-known Acheson’s Gift and Decorative Accents in Erin and Harriston, and many more.

Other show features not to be missed include the Festival of Trees, created by Reeves Florist and Nursery, where visitors will be greated upon entering the show with a forest of fully decorated trees. With no two alike, each has its own style and makes its own fashion statement. At Rooms to Celebrate, designers will create a variety of festive room settings that will no doubt serve as inspiration to all who view them. Tastes of the Season Pavilion will have a variety of seasonal beverages to sample while exhibitors throughout the show will offer a variety of foods to taste and, at the Mocktails and Cocktails station, interactive mixology workshops are sure to be a hit.

As well, Acheson’s Gift and Decorative Accents will not only be exhibiting at this year’s show, they will be holding a special Holiday Season Luncheon and Fashion Show. Taking place on Saturday, November 19, 2005, the luncheon will be hosted by CHFI’s Erin Davis. Tickets are $80 and must be purchased in advance. Luncheon guests will receive complimentary admission to the larger Seasons Show. To order luncheon tickets, call (519) 338-3230.

So whether you’re looking for inspiration, ideas, and products for decking your own halls, or you just want a great way to get into the holiday spirit, the Seasons Holiday Entertaining and Décor Show is sure to make your Yule-tide gay.
