As you pull up in front of Diana's Seafood Delight in Scarborough, you might think you've mistakenly arrived on set for the film, My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

The establishment is painted the traditional blue and white colours, which look more like a Greek trawler than any fish market we've ever been to.

Step inside and feel the fish. With plastic bag in hand, Diana encourages you to touch all the fish and seafood which rests on crushed ice. You can help yourself to all the daily offerings.

The selection is huge, and after considering the fresh whole (6 to 8 lbs) Atlantic Salmon at $3.49 a pound, or the fresh Tilapia filets at $5.99 a pound, we settled on the Porgy at $3.99 a pound. In addition, we debated the 33 Malpeque oysters at $10.99 but took General Manager (and son) Chris Pipergias's advice to try the two dozen deliciously fresh Beau Soleil cocktail oysters for under $15.00. Deals throughout will bring you back including the frozen Alaskan King Crab legs at just $19.99 a pound.

Our catch was weighed at checkout and as we paid, a few complimentary lemons were thrown into the bag for good measure.

Once past the register, we handed our fish over for scaling, cleaning and packaging. They even provided a customer sink to wash our hands.

In addition to the fruits of the sea, don't miss picking up some of the Greek delicacies including Feta cheese, canned goods, dried oregano and more. The only thing more fun than shopping at Diana's was eating the meal.
